What you get
- An Owner Independence Score from 0 to 100. Higher means your business runs and grows with less of you at the center.
- Five category scores, each out of 20. The lowest one is where to start.
- A first move for that category, something you can do in the next seven days, and a guide to go deeper.
- A private link to your results you can keep, send to your advisor, and compare against when you retake it in 90 days.
The five kinds of independence
Decision Independence
Measures whether you can move decision-making authority to other people.
Results Independence
Measures whether you can move results ownership to other people.
Knowledge Independence
Measures whether you can move knowledge to other people.
Relationship Independence
Measures whether you can move relationships to other people.
Independence Protection
Measures whether you can get your people running regular problem-solving meetings, a scorecard, and a decision-making process.
What your score means
- 0–25Owner-Trapped. Your business depends heavily on you. You are likely still the backup system for too much of the business, and the current leadership rhythm is probably not strong enough to protect your time and energy.
- 26–50Owner-Centered. Your business still depends on you in meaningful ways. Decisions, results, knowledge, or relationships still flow through you, and your leadership rhythm may not yet be strong enough to offset that.
- 51–75Owner-Supported. Your business runs without you in some important ways, and your leadership rhythm is starting to protect the gains. Focus next on your lowest-scoring category.
- 76–100Owner-Independent. Your business shows strong owner independence, and your leadership rhythm is protecting you from getting pulled back into the center.
